We’re calling on Fife Council to establish a Public Taxi Forum that meets every six months, open to:

  • All licensed taxi drivers and operators across Zone E
  • Police Scotland, to hear safety concerns and improve communication
  • Local councillors – especially from the Licensing Committee and ward representatives
  • Fife Council officers responsible for transport and licensing

This forum would be a two-way street:

  • Taxi drivers can raise real-world problems, from road conditions to licensing issues
  • Council officers and police can explain their challenges and propose new initiatives
  • Councillors can stay directly informed and accountable on key public transport matters

It’s about building respect, improving safety and standards, and working together for a better service, for drivers, the council, and the public.
