Fife Council schedules annual taxi inspections just before the start of the tourist season; when demand is high, cars are under pressure, and garages are busy. For many of us, this timing causes real disruption. Most operators take vehicles in for pre-tests, handle repairs, and try to keep everything moving while juggling the busiest weeks of the year.
We believe it makes more sense to move annual testing to the winter months, when there’s more garage capacity, less pressure on vehicles, and time to plan around the work.
But we want to know what you think.
Take our quick survey and tell us: should Fife Council move the taxi test dates to the quiet season?
If the trade wants change, we’ll campaign for it. But we need your voice first.
